Bright and juicy citrus acidity reminiscent of orange is layered with soft stone fruit-like sweetness. As the coffee cools, vibrant notes of red berries emerge, bringing a lively sweet-tart character, while a smooth caramel-like sweetness lingers in the finish. Clean and transparent yet beautifully balanced in fruitiness and sweetness, it offers an elegant and comforting cup.

Ethiopia Sidama Shanta Golba Washed is grown in the high-altitude areas around the Bensa district in the Sidama region. Ripe cherries carefully harvested by surrounding smallholder farmers are brought to the Shanta Golba Washing Station, where they undergo washed processing using clean water.
ARDENT COFFEE, led by Ashenafi Argaw, is an Ethiopian coffee company responsible for export and quality development. While supporting farmers through cultivation guidance, quality improvement, and contributions to local infrastructure, the company helps highlight the bright acidity and floral character typical of Sidama coffees.
This is a clean, transparent lot that carefully connects regional potential with the dedication of its producers.

| A note from the online shop manager Personally, I especially enjoy the sweet and tangy berry-like notes that emerge as the coffee cools. While it carries the bright acidity characteristic of washed Ethiopian coffees, it is well supported by a solid sweetness, allowing the cup to remain balanced rather than overly acidic. For the upcoming season, it is also highly recommended as an iced coffee! |

Ardent Coffee Export was founded by Ashenafi Argaw. It has washing stations in major coffee-producing areas in Ethiopia, and handles the processing, processing and export of coffee from small farms.

REC COFFEE began selling Ardent Coffee beans from the 2019-20 crop, two years after the company was founded, and is now the largest purchaser of Ardent coffee in Japan.
We have been working with the founder, Ashenafi, since 2014. Our CEO, Iwase, met him when he was looking for coffee beans to use in the WBC (World Barista Championship). At the time, Ashenafi was working at his previous company, Ninety Plus Coffee, LLC, but later went independent. He contacted me again and our relationship with REC COFFEE began in earnest.

Ashenafi founded Ardent Coffee with his experience and passion from her previous job, her deep knowledge of coffee, and his desire to improve the coffee environment in his native Ethiopia. Although it was only recently established, the company has grown at an astonishing pace, delivering high-quality coffee every year.
They are also actively working to improve the living environment for small-scale farmers by building roads to make it easier for them to commute to washing stations, and by building orphanages and schools. They told us that it is only through relationships of trust with neighboring farmers that high-quality coffee can be produced.

Please enjoy Ardent Coffee, which is made with the efforts of small-scale farmers and washing station workers, as well as Ashenafi's knowledge and passion.
