The specialty coffee we are introducing this time is part of the FROM FARM TO YOU series, born from the encounter between REC COFFEE and Alejandro, who runs a farm in Huehuetenango, Guatemala.

Please join us in enjoying the story behind it.

For more information about this coffee's flavor and farm, please see the bottom of this page.
For more information about our FROM FARM TO YOU initiative, please see below.

Best Before

Best enjoyed within three months of the roast date. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, and consume promptly.

The bag may appear puffed due to gases released by the coffee beans, but this does not affect quality—enjoy as is.

Roasting date

To ensure that you can enjoy the freshest possible coffee, we ship coffee beans within 14 days of roasting.

FOREST COFFEE began in 1995 when avocado cultivation began at our own farm, El Vergel Farm.
Then, in 2010, producers Elias and Shadi's mother, Martha, began their own venture into coffee cultivation.
As the couple's interest in coffee grew, they dedicated themselves to improving their experimental knowledge of pulping and various fermentation methods, and in 2015 they successfully cultivated their first variety.

In 2019, FOREST COFFEE was established with the theme and vision of "RE FOREST (reclaiming lost forests)."

El Vergel farm grows approximately 28 different coffee varieties on about half of its vast 300 hectares of land.
Typically, most coffee farms in Colombia do not plant "shade trees" in order to increase yields or expand the area of land under cultivation, but El Vergel Farm has planted shade trees and cultivates coffee as part of a voluntary effort to preserve the natural forest for the sake of nature conservation.
The cultivation methods at El Vergel Farm are more similar to those found in farms in Central America, Costa Rica, and Panama.
He always approaches coffee from a research and experimental perspective, and as a pioneer of innovation and quality in Colombian coffee, he leads FOREST COFFEE, a network of 250 coffee producers.

They specialize in the fermentation process, and at their washing station in the center of the farm, they use a dedicated app to precisely manage the process and carry out production processing.
Through countless research and experimentation, we have developed the ability to use bacteria, yeasts and controlled fermentation to bring coffee to unprecedented levels of excellence.
We are also fascinated by innovative initiatives that are changing our relationships with producers for the better.
