Fukuoka is famous throughout the country for its coffee and is known as a coffee town.
"We want to create a new souvenir using coffee that anyone can enjoy." This was the idea that started the development.
The concept is "edible cafe latte"
This is a new type of Japanese coffee confectionery created with the concept of "edible cafe latte" so that more people can enjoy coffee easily.
This is the flavor of REC COFFEE's flagship product, the most popular cafe latte. To create a complete product, we needed to focus on creating a synergy that would allow the coffee flavor to be fully felt and that would pair well with milk.

Coffee paste and skin
We tested a variety of coffees to use. Coffees with strong personalities tend to be too assertive and disrupt the overall balance, so we chose a dark roast coffee blended with coffees from Central and South America.
Also, since it was difficult to smell the coffee aroma while the coffee paste was still inside the skin, we mixed coffee powder into the skin and developed a skin that gives off a faint coffee aroma the moment you put it in your mouth. -
The key to the flavor is the two layers of bean paste
To recreate the taste of a cafe latte, we needed to come up with a little more ingenuity.
A cafe latte is essentially a combination of espresso (coffee) and milk. The taste varies slightly depending on the ratio and the barista, and also changes depending on the condition of the espresso and steamed milk.
We were looking for a way to express the interesting change in flavor, and we decided to separate the paste into two: coffee paste and milk paste. -
The changing taste of cafe latte
Rather than having a monotonous cafe latte flavor, the bean paste is divided into two layers, allowing the flavor to change subtly depending on the direction and way you eat it.
We have created a satisfying latte monaka that has the synergy of coffee and milk.
The result is a product that you can enjoy while searching for your favorite flavor. -
Design and packaging
Japanese sweets and coffee. As a souvenir from Fukuoka, which has many inbound tourists, we came up with the idea of creating a package that combines a Japanese base with Western elements.
The design is based on motifs related to Fukuoka and coffee, and the outer box is made from a material called "Cafe Latte" that is 100% recycled paper.
This product is packed with REC COFFEE's passion down to the smallest detail.
A tasteful souvenir
This Japanese sweet can be enjoyed by everyone from children to the elderly, and even those who don't like coffee, so it is popular as a souvenir or gift.
It is also recommended as a companion to coffee or tea.
