Perfect for Father's Day! How I enjoy "Good Day Blend 2025"

It creates memorable moments and evokes special memories.
REC COFFEE's seasonal blends are made with the aim of creating a memorable cup of coffee.

This time we'd like to introduce you to "Good Day Blend," a coffee that feels like it's giving you a gentle nudge!

concept

Coffee time marks the start of the day.
"Have a good day!"
This is a limited-time medium-dark roast blend created with the image of a coffee that gives you the push you need to do your best again today.
This coffee is also a perfect gift for Father's Day.

Taste

This medium-dark roast coffee has a rich sweetness reminiscent of chocolate or nougat, and a creamy texture.
Once it cools a little, the brown sugar-like sweetness spreads and lingers in your mouth for a long time.

The lingering feeling gives you the push you need to do your best again today.

This year, four baristas and roasters from REC COFFEE created a blend based on the idea of "coffee that gently pushes you forward to start your day."
After many discussions, the final product was a seasonal blend that was "a medium-dark roast that is not fruity, something never before seen in REC COFFEE."

The two baristas participated in the blending and said, "We created many samples to get closer to our image, but we couldn't quite reach the taste we were hoping for. "It was very difficult. The samples that the two roasters blended based on the baristas' ideas were always so close to our imagination that we could nod in agreement, and it really made us realize the difference in experience and knowledge," he said, describing the difficulties.

The main focus this time was on sweetness.
Even after drinking the coffee and heading out, you'll be left with a lingering sweet aftertaste, and it gives you the feeling that it's encouraging you to do your best today.

This time, the blend is mainly made up of full-bodied Colombian and Guatemalan grapes, giving the wine volume and depth, while the addition of Nicaragua, which has a refreshing acidity, balances the overall flavor.

・Columbia/Washington

The base Colombia creates the major contours of the blend.
It has the solid body that is typical of Colombia, and forms the foundation for the creamy texture and sweetness that are characteristic of Good Day Blend.

・Guatemala / Freewashed

Even though it's a medium-dark roast, it has a strong citrus acidity that balances the overall flavor. It's the perfect bridge between Colombia and Nicaragua.

・Nicaragua / Natural

The natural process in Nicaragua gives the sweetness volume and depth.

How to enjoy Good Day Blend

This time, we will have barista Nemoto, who was in charge of blending Good Day Blend, show us how to enjoy it!

Hello everyone, this is Nemoto from Reck Coffee.

Good Day Blend season has arrived.
This year's blend is perfect for starting the day, giving you a gentle push before you leave the house!
The appeal of this blend is its smooth texture and rich sweetness.
When hand-dripping, we like to pour the water as gently and slowly as possible so that you can enjoy the full sweetness of Good Day Blend!

My recommended way to drink it is of course in the morning! I like to drink it with breakfast!
We hope you'll enjoy a cup of our hand-dripped Good Day Blend coffee and a buttery croissant to create the perfect morning start to your day! (Our most recommended pairing)

Powder amount 16g
Amount of hot water 260g
Grinding condition Medium-fine grind
Estimated drop 2 minutes to 2 minutes 15 seconds
point Be careful not to use the same extraction speed or stirring as light to medium roasts!
(Because the roast is darker, the components are more likely to be extracted, leading to over-extraction.)

The best time to enjoy Good Day Blend is from mid-May to mid-June, when there are many days with comfortable temperatures, so it's a good idea to pour some into a tumbler and go for a walk!
I often go for walks on my days off in the morning without any particular purpose in mind, so I'm thinking of taking it with me on my walks!
Have a good day!!
